Hello there, I'm Burl owner Rocco Bocchicchio.  I've been an artist my whole life, and a boulderer for most of it. I grew up in a creative family who also predominantly worked in the trades. Throughout my life I've been a routesetter, climbing coach, landscaper, mason, carpenter, epoxy/terrazzo flooring installer, painter, metal fabricator, and a bunch of others I'm probably forgetting. Burl is a synthesis of the three pillars of my life: climbing, creativity, and skilled craftsmanship. I'm so happy to share the fruits of my talents and experiences through Burl to help climbers find motivation and enjoyment.
